Do you have questions about the Realwed Method?
Here are all the answers.

The Realwed Method
The Realwed Method is based on a radical principle: my style is you. I don't apply a predefined photographic approach to every couple. I study you, connect with you, build empathy and adapt my skills to your unique wedding. Every couple becomes an unrepeatable project with its own visual identity.
This applies both during the shoot and in the development and editing phase. There is no "Realwed look". There are as many interpretations as there are couples I work with.
Because I hate labels. In the wedding world everyone defines themselves as "reportage", "editorial", "fine art"... but every label speaks of the photographer, not the couple. I refuse to impose my style on your photos. I want your images to speak of you, not of me. That's why I create a personalised style that bears your name, different for every wedding.
My method is based on three pillars:
1. Empathy as a starting point — I get to know you before the wedding, I listen to how you experience your day.
2. Natural guidance, never intrusive — I accompany you gently, without stiff poses or staged moments.
3. A personalised story — I follow your unique energy and transform it into authentic images.
The result: a relaxed experience and photographs that truly speak of you.
Fears & Insecurities
This is exactly why I created the Realwed Method. I know many couples fear feeling observed or uncomfortable. That's why I never pose you. I accompany you naturally, take you by the hand, guide you gently. In a relaxed and trusting atmosphere you can truly be yourselves. The couples I work with tell me they forgot they had a photographer — and that is my goal.
This is a fear I had to face myself when I created the method. But I discovered the opposite is true: in forced poses you can see tension, awkwardness, artifice. In spontaneous photographs you see your real expressions — and those are always more beautiful. The secret isn't controlling the pose, but capturing the right moment at the perfect tenth of a second. And that requires far more skill than a standard pose.
Perfect — I know exactly how to handle it. With shy people I work even more delicately: I give you space, don't force anything, wait until you forget I'm there. Often the most beautiful photographs come from shy people, because when they feel safe their emotions are incredibly powerful. I'll make you feel like I'm one of your friends, not a photographer.
That will never happen with me. I don't do long, endless pose sessions. I take you by the hand, bring you to a beautiful spot, let you be yourselves for a few minutes, and capture the authentic moments. Couples are usually amazed at how quick and relaxed it was. I'm not here to steal time from your wedding — I'm here to help you live your day.
Differences with Other Photographers
Most wedding photographers apply their own style to every wedding: they have a recognisable "look", an aesthetic signature. I do the opposite: I study each couple and create a unique style for them. The photographs from every wedding I shoot are different, because they reflect different people. For me, the protagonist is not the photographer, but the couple.
I don't define myself with style labels. "Reportage" is a label that describes a technique, not an approach to the couple. I take spontaneous and natural photographs, but above all I connect with you emotionally. I'm not an outside observer who documents: I'm a partner who lives the day with you. That's the real difference.
No, never. Artificial light creates artificial realities. I prefer to work with natural and ambient light, even when it's challenging, because it preserves the authenticity of the moment. No invasive flash, no built sets. Just the beauty of real light.
How I Work
Before the wedding we meet (in person or by video call) to get to know each other. I ask you questions about yourselves, about how you imagine your wedding, about what excites you and what you'd rather avoid. I want to understand who you are as a couple. Then I explain the timeline of the day, reassure you about any concerns, and prepare you for what to expect. But above all: we build trust and empathy before the big day.
My role evolves throughout the day. I'm a fluid mix of partner, friend, guide and creative collaborator — the balance shifts depending on you and the moment. Sometimes I step back because the moment is delicate, other times I guide you gently, other times I experience the emotions with you. I adapt to you, not the other way around. Couples welcome me as their favourite guest.
I usually deliver the photos within 60–90 days of the wedding. If you need them sooner, I offer a fast delivery service within 30 days. I prefer to take the time needed to care for each image with personal attention, rather than delivering quickly and producing mediocre work.
I personally select every photo I deliver. I discard technically flawed ones, those where expressions aren't natural, and repetitive ones. I keep only the images that truly tell something about you. I then work on post-production with care, respecting natural colours and your true expressions. I never manipulate reality.
What's Included
I focus exclusively on photography because I want to give my best at what I do. Doing both photos and video well would require splitting my attention, and I prefer to be completely present for you. If you'd like video as well, I can recommend trusted videographers who work with the same philosophy.
Yes, but always with my approach. I photograph guests in their spontaneous moments, not in stiff group poses. I photograph details if they tell something about you (for example, a handmade detail, a meaningful object). I don't catalogue centrepieces or favours unless they have emotional meaning.
RAW files are available as an extra paid service. Normally I deliver photos that are already developed and post-produced, because my work doesn't end with the shutter: post-production is an integral part of the story. RAW files are like undeveloped negatives — I prefer to deliver the finished work.
No, I don't manipulate reality. I do colour correction, light balancing, image development — but I don't modify your bodies or faces. If there's a temporary blemish I can remove it, but I don't change who you are. In twenty years' time I want you to see yourselves as you truly were, not as a photoshopped version of yourselves.
Logistics & Organisation
Yes, I work throughout Italy and I'm available to travel wherever you wish to get married. I'm based in Umbria (Foligno) and regularly work in Spoleto, Perugia, Assisi, Montefalco, Todi and Orvieto, but I cover the whole of Italy. Travel expenses are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
I have a network of trusted photographers who work with the same philosophy. In the unlikely event of an emergency preventing me from being present, I guarantee a qualified photographer who knows the Realwed Method. But in 10+ years of career this has never happened — your wedding is sacred to me.
The Right Choice
I'll tell you: we're made for each other if...
- ✓ You've chosen being over appearing
- ✓ You can't stand fake, over-produced weddings
- ✓ You want a human connection, not just a supplier
- ✓ You want natural photographs, even imperfect ones
- ✓ You want to feel good on your wedding day, not perform
- ✓ In twenty years you want to relive the emotions, not just remember the facts
If you recognise yourself in this description, then yes: I'm the right photographer for you.
If instead you're looking for a famous photographer with a recognisable style, magazine poses, Hollywood lighting or the lowest price... then I'm not the one. And that's perfectly fine.
