Tenuta San Lorenzo Vecchio stretches over four hundred hectares of woods, vineyards and olive groves. At its centre stands the borgo with the old cloister, the cellar, the oil mill, and the chapel of San Lorenzo dating back to the 14th century. It's a venue that works all year round — the seasons change the landscape radically, and every season brings something different to the photography.
It's one of the Umbrian venues I love most for how it treats the day: no time restrictions, total freedom to move through the spaces, and a family-run management that genuinely takes care of things. You dance on the grass, you dine in the cellar or in the panoramic garden, you celebrate as long as you want.

The estate has a character you feel right away: it's not a staged venue, it's a place that lives. And for photography, that's a huge advantage. There's always something authentic in the frame — the vineyards in the distance, the barrels in the cellar, the light filtering through the olive trees.
The cloister and the chapel offer a soft, intimate light, perfect for portraits. The panoramic garden and the vineyards are the ideal backdrop for the celebration. In the cellar, in the evening, the warm light on the barrels creates an atmosphere you couldn't build artificially.
